21st Century Prospecting -- It Not Like You Dad Remembers

It's All About Downline Building

You know the importance of building a downline.

Your downline helps build your income. Whether you're in a MLM organization or just get commissions from those you personally sponsored, building your downline is critical.

So, how do you go about recruiting new members?

Of course the old way was to contact people and arrange to meet them at a hotel where your organization held it's opportunity meetings. You found prospects anywhere you could. You found them in the mall, the bathroom, in the lunch line. And, don't forget the 200 person list of friends, relatives, even the postman.

Well, all that's changed since the Internet became popular. Now you can advertise and attract people to your "capture page" where they can enter their name, email address and often their phone number if they like what they see on your web page.

The captured information (name, email address, and phone number) then go into a database usually associated with an autoresponder. The autoresponder sends off prepared emails to prospects telling them about your opportunity and inventing them to your online opportunity meeting or training classes.

People from across the country or around the world can attend your opportunity presentation on an Internet "webinar." A webinar is like a lecture hall with an area where documents or web sites can be displayed. There's even an option for people viewing the webinar to enter text questions or even speak to the presenters.

Now, people spend most of their time driving traffic to their capture pages. That's what the business of building a downline is all about.

In addition, you can pay others to help build your downline. Once an organization has the skills to drive people to a capture page they can sell you hot lead lists that you can contact via email or call and talk up your opportunity. One such organization is Automatic Autoresponder.

Some organizations will also get prospects to actually sign up for a free trial at your opportunity's signup area. This can be a real advantage if you are limited in time or knowledge about the Web. One such organization is Signups Guaranteed.

In any case, the important thing to remember is that recruiting in the 21st century is all about finding targeted prospects on the Web.

Wishing you the best,
